I have been playing around with some vehicles that dont like EFIEs or MAP/MAF Enhancers and i have found that modifying the IAT sensor is quiet more pleasant for the ECU than the other sensors. I have increased 80-100F with no problem at all and have gotten great savings. IAT basicly tells the ECU that the quality of the air is not so good(hot air takes more space) and sends less fuel.
I am looking for Universal IAT Enhancers or at least some that work on the frequency types or integrated ones with the MAF.
Since you want the air to "be" hotter you need to increase the voltage instead of dropping it like you do with MAF Enhancers.

Francisco I will have a sophisticated MAP, IAT, and CTS controller designed for diesels without O2 sensors that will be available in the future. This devise will include voltage sensing so nothing including the reactor, does not come on until the alternator is generating voltage. This is at the moment only going to work on 12 volt systems. Voltage sensing is adjustable between 1 to 16 volts. Besides being able to tune the MAP, IAT and CTS you can tune the MAP to a certain amount of lean and additionally to come on or go off at a given load. This feature is also tunable, so the MAP has two adjustments. I found that tuning the map based on load increases power during excelleration and in the end increases mileage when tuned correctly. It also has a temperature switch which prevents any adjustments to stock during warm up. I think this is what you are looking for and as soon as it is ready I will post it here with pictures and test results and where to buy it. There will also be a version with O2 controllers. A gasoline version with four O2 controllers will also be available. It will be available for both narrow band and wide band but are separate devices which means you must order it for a wide band or narrow band 02. It includes the more advanced adaptive digital O2 controller for the front sensors. Everything is being tested and production will start after all testing is complete and when no further updates are required. Exact time frame is not known at this time.
One correction to my previous post. The load/map's additional adjustment controls all the sensors not just the MAP. What this does is allows you to set it so everything is off at idle when adjustments and HHO are not necessary saving HP/fuel. It also keeps depending how you tune it to stay off during the first part of acceleration. You loose no HP or feel with it set lean and the right amount of HHO. End results are very good.

Let me know when its ready! I am still looking for an IAT Enhancer for MAF integrated IAT sensors. I guess ill have to make my own.
Francisco, can you explain what you mean by MAF integrated IAT sensors. If what you are looking for is a simple IAT MAF CTS controller I have those already. Let me know exactly what you need right now. The other is a couple months away.

That is exactly what i am looking for Carter. I am looking for a simple IAT controller, one that increases voltage instead of decreasing voltage like MAF enhancers do. I need them ASAP!
Francisco, How many do you need. I have only a limited supply available and some of them are spoken for.
I can have more made though if necessary.

Carter,
I think I need a IAT sensor too. I tried MAF of digital type and voltage type. But still I am nt seeing any mileage change with one customer who is installed with a dry cell. Can you send me pricing for one IAT to my email ( davd@chol.com ) ?
I appreciate your reply to me direct.

It is thermally controlled and waits until the engine is warmed up before switching in modified sensor streams.

Also, as a DIY means to tune IATs you can switch in parallel resistance. This is what raises the perceived temps. Purchase an Ohm Ranger and run to wires to it that are in parallel with the sensor. Then, switch in different resistor values until you find what works best.
My VW Polo 1.6i (2000 model) has a MAF (I think) which has the IAT intergrated into it. There are 4 wires from left to right: yellow (green stripe), white (yellow stripe), grey (white stripe) and brown (white stripe). I would like to install a basic enhancer but I don't know which wires are for the IAT. Can someone please help? Thanks.
What about barometric pressure sensor? Have you tried to play with this one?
