This is a schematic of an experimental plasma arc ignition circuit. A more powerful spark can better fire a lean mixture. Too hot of a spark can damage the inside of the chamber, and melt away plug electrodes, so be careful if you try this.

It is amazing that this was posted in 2009 and it got very little attention back then.

Some of us tinkered with this a bit.  There are big issues with balancing voltage on the diodes.  Additionally, the recovery time became an issue as the diodes continued to conduct beyond the time needed for the spark.  Good idea, but not workable in this design.
