patrick; I also would like info on parts for a dry cell. My wet cells are OK but need any and all info on dry cells so that I can look into creating them myself. What type of material is used to make the gaskets between the the plates, what gauge stainless is best, etc? I have a client willing to let me use his vehicle as a tester. Also, how many electrical connections are needed, what gauge wire? You understand that I know nothing about dry cells. As I stated above, I would like to learn!
a good idea is get something that wont make hex-c, it is nasty stuff but easy to get rid of with sugar. i would look into graphite plates(a little more expencive, but from what i have read they work a lot better then SS and last longer)
and getbettermpg the best if you are going to use SS is 316l and gaskets are made from any kind of rubber, i think bob ace's 120 plate system used old inter tubes for bikes as gasket material.
I found a source for 316L SS. Sheet or other forms. I am going to attempt a cell from 316L SS screen stock and titanium plates. I bought my metal at Small Parts, Inc. They have a website..if you search you should find it. Their number is 1-800-220-4242. I bought mine offf the website but i don't have the web address.
