HODINFO is a collaborative think tank/ open science initiative. We are an International group comprised of inventors, scientist, mechanics, tinkerers, fabricators, and out of the box thinkers. Our mission is to find innovative solutions to the problems that primarily limit the production and delivery of H2. As the world starts using hydrogen it becomes clear that immense infrastructure initiatives will be required to make it happen. If adequate solutions can be found to support Hydrogen-On-Demand (HOD) systems then the world can remove great and costly limitations on future applications. The future is not just Hydrogen, it's Hydrogen-on-Demand.

I purchased and installed a dry cell almost 12 months ago and watched the industry for about 2 years before doing so. I'm not really a novice builder, but I am more than "just curious".

I gave this basic info to grasack as you will be able to see Allan....

With the bubbler design I have found the best to be the small 1 lt Dry cell type reservoir with both the inlet and the outlet at the top, keep it empty and it doubles as a dryer but only if you have another the same size or bigger as a reservoir. Just thought of adding, Make sure you electrolyser is below your reservoir, and your reservoir below the height of your bubbler. As of coarse the gas wants to naturally travel up.

Be safe and careful with it all.

Regards

Jason

Hi Allan

What is it you want to find? The answer to will the water is going into the motor will it do any damage? or something else?

Hi Allan,

Thanks for your comments.

I have built several cells and done a lot of testing. A local sheet metal shop sells me 304 stainless that is scrap pieces and shears it to what ever size I need at a VERY low cost. The last one I made was a 4" square cell with 5 neutral plates. I ran it for about 8 days straight with no problems. The gas output was very close to the calculated output. I felt like I was ready to install it on my car and find out what it could do for me. My intention was to order some 316 metal on line and have the local shop sheer it to the right size.

Then I ran across the splitter cell information.

I really don't want to modify the computer signals and the hydrogen only is supposed to work without any electrical devices. I have now ordered the membrane material and will build a splitter cell. I will still use the 304 stainless to prove the operation. After I install the unit and find the test works, I will order the better plate material and re-build the unit. I may decide to order titanium material instead of 316 (about 3 times the cost). Once I have a proven unit that is doing some good, I don't mind spending the extra cash.

The other thing I have done is to design a simple circuit that will turn on the unit only after the engine is running.

I will post my results as they develop.

Hi Allan,

I read your question about introducing pure Hydrogen instead of HHO.

I have been reading lots on the net and came across the videos showing how to make a "splitter" cell. From what I read, you don't have to fool the computer if you introduce pure Hydrogen.

I have built several cells and have good results from the "dry" cell I just completed. I think it's time to install a system on my car and see if the mpg is really helped. However, due to my reading about the splitter cell, I have started construction on one.

I would like to hear what you or anyone else has discovered about this concept.

Thanks
