Fozzy! your idea have great merit! but please be careful, and think that if yo are successful dissociating the H2 and O , you will also have the possibility of pre ignition which will cause disaster!!!

Just a quick guess. The difference between the two. Originally the mower's carb drafts gasoline in like a paint sprayer. Only limiting factor on how much gas gets sucked in would be the size of the needle valve. The amount of the air that can be sucked in is limited by the opening of the air intakes and the position of the butterfly. With the bubbler the gas mixes with the air from the stone and then it merges with the air coming in at the intake. In sum respects it acually burns leaner but I believe it acts similar to how an oldtimer blow torch did. Guessing your age you might not have ever seen a blowtorch in action. Of course I could be wrong as you seem to have a highly inquisitive nature.
I am having some thoughts on adding some plates or fine wire mesh to my evap bottle. Close spacing and virtually little or no vinigar. Oh I think you sill notice that I am presently using a totally sealed bottle with no air stone. Just a sponge. My latest video shows quite a bit of fine vapor haze. Even at idle there ar bubbles. The sponge is performing as I was hoping it would.
I have also thought about a mesh network similar to a honeycomb, but several layers of mesh with altenating polarities. And positioning it in the path of the water vapor. Depending on the density/number of layers of mesh I have to wonder if a few droplets could separate into H and O as they strike a charged surface. I found a souce of 316 stainless mesh you can buy buy the sqaure foot. It is from a roll that is 48" wide and they cut it to match your order. So 12 square feet would be a 36" x 48" piece. I also can imagine coiling two pieces of the mesh so they would be wound on withing the other. Then put this in the bottle and appy 12v between them. Who knows maybe even shaving a sponge material so thin that it could act as a separator between the coils. One plate would attract H and the other polarity the O. I would have to wonder if 12v would be large enough what with no electrolyte. Best to you my friend. Bed time for me. 5 am comes early and the next 3 work days are 12hr again. We have a big project that has target days along the way.
I have rearranged my web pages. More reference links. I divided my two vehicle projects to pages of their own. I paused my Taurus project so as to do more on the Rampage before weather gets cold. I want to get the Rampage up with the evaporation system first and then depending on the results I will start making a big hard metal Hydrogen separation system. I would like to max out the amount of true hydrogen I can feed to the rampage. I have a point to prove to a professor at Washington State University who is a non believer. He trotted out a bunch of math. He included the fact that he also was a Boeing engineer. But not a propulsion engineer. I have friends at Boeing in St Louis that would reeducate him.
