Glass has been used for quite awhile. But it only takes one instance. I always make certain that the generator is in its bracket prior to starting it. All in all I believe the glass is safe and a whole lot easier to maintain than the dry cell. Also if the dry cell freeze they warp and are pretty much junk. I have had quite a few customers have me install their dry cells, and I am amazed at the amount of potasium or sodium hydroxide it takes to get production. I think if you have to add 6 tablespoons of any type of electrolyte, you are risking the chance of getting it into your engine. Also the dry cell reservoir is full of very potent water, and thats the last place the gas passes before it gets to the engine. Just something to think about. Our generators use no more than a 1/3 tsp sodium hydroxide. and only require recharging approximately 4,000 miles. This is providing you can get them out in front of the radiator. I also use a indoor outdoor thermometer and not let them get above 140 Deg. F. I designed the heavy lids on our kits so there would be solid connections and no leaks. Now I am glad I did as the lid actually acts as a shield as well. I do sell just the generators and I also have heavy plastic clear jars as well. I personally like the mason jars. But the plastic hold up well to.

hello my  name is terry baker!!does anyone know of a electrolyte for dry cell ammonia....glycerin...and ratio wth distilled water that woks better to keep amps  lower and dry cell cleaner??? something  thats been bench tested and running a motor ????? aaaand works??
