Good news!  Bright House has offered to air PSAs for the next HHO Games, and Manatee Educational Television (METV, which is a prize-winning producer) has agreed to produce them for us.  The last time, they ran them for 2 1/2 weeks a total of 480 times on all the cable shows.

After initially being rejected, I am now making progress with the conference site, which is an ideal way to cross-pollinate ideas from many developers and make new contacts. About two weeks from now, we ought to have a package price for us that will include three meals a day and offer a variety of accommodations. I think that package will top out at $90 a day for three meals and a private room. For those who'd like a cabin with bunk beds, I think it would be less. The contract would not permit sales at the event, so those would have to be deferred to another place or time. We would plan for about 150 day visitors on Saturday, and perhaps 100 on Friday and Sunday. Again. it's just two miles from I-75 and a half-mile off a well-populated US highway with big supermarkets. Seminars would go all day and as late as desired. There is a very nicely-appointed lounge open 24 hrs a day, in addition to fishing, tennis, nature trails and walks, kayaking (in your own or rented kayaks), etc., on the wide, placid river that borders the site. The weather will be in the low 70s with cool (60+)nights. It will work out well if people can make commitments by Labor Day or a few days thereafter.  If not, we have until Sept. 9 to either make our deposit or cancel it. Reservations and deposits would be made directly with the conference center. Day admission may be $5, including parking.  I believe we can provide the least expensive display fees ever, probably starting as low as $50 for indoor, with WiFi and many outlets and a drop down movie screen and wide whiteboard and a seminar room.
